Alt 1820m. This is the fifteenth accommodation that you will come to on the GR20 when setting out from Calenzana.
From the Col de Verde the walk up to this refuge is a relentless climb. It was re-built in year 2000 when it was struck by lightening and burnt down. It has 32 bed places inside and a lovely flat, grassy plateau area. If you have a look in the nearby alder bushes you will see an interesting plaque in memory of parachutists that dropped a batch of arms in 1943 used by Corsican freedom fighters to free the island from the Nazi and fasciste occupiers.
You can reserve on line with the website : http://pnr-resa.corsica .
